Title: Beginner's Guide for Dummies
Thread Modes
#1
Before reading this guide please take a look at the Official Windictus Guide at :
https://windictus.net/showthread.php?tid=50

**Before we start, we should always make ourselves look good. Some outfit sets may not work in the outfitter shop. If this is the case, try buying the individual pieces.(If you can)**
Leveling

Upon character creation there should be a boost potion that instantly levels you up to 50. Open all the boxes in your NX inventory. After you open all the boxes there should be gear sets. Equip the best armor and weapon.

50-60
Do anything you want, Hidden in Ruins of Sanctity is fast and easy, or some missions in Hoarfrost Depths.
Don't be afraid of dying, there are free graces until level 85. If you don't want to stay in Colhen, you can move to Rocheste. You can do this by talking to the carriage towards the back of the town.

60+
After you hit 60, raids are now available to you. You can do them on easy mode and don't be afraid to die. There's an unlimited amount of graces until you reach level 85.

Recommended Easy Raids:
Lionotus (Colhen) --> Drops Well Balanced Enchant scroll
Keaghan (Colhen) --> Drops Well Balanced Enchant scroll
Beokros (Colhen) --> Drops Twinkling and Berserker Enchant scrolls
Titan (Rocheste) --> Drops earrings for Arisha,Sylas and Evie
Thor (Rocheste) --> Doesn't drop anything of interest
Easy Mode Season 2 Raids in Malina are also recommended.
Lakiora --> Is extra easy

75+
At level 75, the map Rocheste By Sea becomes available at the Rocheste notice board.
The boss, Muir, is not super hard but can be difficult for newer players.
He drops Paradise Enhancement Stones which you will need later.
If you can complete this map, it should give you ~1 level per run.

*Note: Leveling path is a personal opinion, if you want, you can just do random dungeons if you think that's more fun.

Gearing

Gearing shouldn't be an issue if you're opening boxes as you level up.
At level 70 you should get a Champion set. This set is good until you reach your level 90 set.
At level 85 you should get an Armageddon Weapon. This is good for basically everything.

Now that you've gotten your Armageddon weapon, you should upgrade it. Below is a chart that shows how much increase in stats each level on your weapon gives. It also shows how many enhancement stones and elixirs you need per level.

The rates can be found here : https://windictus.net/showthread.php?tid=50

Your goal should be to get your weapon to +10 or above.

Remember:

At +9 and +10, if you fail, your weapon will reset back to +0.  (Only on this server)
At +11 and higher, if you fail, your weapon will be DESTROYED.

** If you destroy your item through enhancing or enchanting, you can go to the Inn and talk to the Mysterious Traveler. He will restore your item, ONE TIME ONLY, for some AP. **

*** IF YOUR ITEM HAS BEEN DESTROYED AND RESTORED, DO NOT CONTINUE UPGRADING UNLESS YOU HAVE ANOTHER WEAPON TO USE ***

Now that your weapon is +10 or higher, you should look towards either accessories or armor.

Armor

The free Champion set should be good enough until you are able to upgrade to a level 90 set. The level 90 sets are from Season 3 content available from the side notice boards in both Rocheste and Colhen.
** S3 content will be hard, watch some videos or find some teammates before attempting **

If you're really desperate, you can craft the Armageddon Set.
** (This is not really recommended as it will probably take at least 6 days, 6 days is how long you need to get the seals for the rare materials.)**

To unlock this set, go to Malina by talking to the ferryman at Colhen or Rocheste and complete the mission "Burning Temple". You can complete it on Easy (This is actually the recommended difficulty because it will probably be too hard to solo the higher difficulties)

Materials Needed :

150 Exquisite Iron Ores
--> These can be obtained by mining or crafting lower tier iron ores. The best map to farm lower tiered Iron Ores is Dethrone the White Tyrant in Hoarfrost Hollows.
50 Druid's Manes
--> Can drop from Burning Temple, Easy Mode
--> Can be bought with Seals of Bravery(You get 1 for every non-easy raid). You get 2 for 1 Seal
25 Cromm Cruiaich Fauld
--> Can drop from God of Death, Easy Mode
--> Can be bought with Seals of Bravery(You get 1 for every non-easy raid). You get 2  for 1 Seal
100 Orbs
--> Orbs can only be obtained from gathering Luminaries. They can be found in S2 and S3 non-raid maps.
--> To collect Orbs, you need to talk to Old Meb in Malina to learn the skill.
50 Shattered Lavasat Horns
--> Can drop from Gates of Hell, Easy Mode
--> Can be bought with Seals of Bravery(You get 1 for every non-easy raid). You get 2 for 1 Seal
25 Ulchas Shoulderplate Fragment
--> Can drop from Desolate Malina, Easy Mode
--> Can be bought with Seals of Bravery(You get 1 for every non-easy raid). You get 2 for 1 Seal
25 Aquillore Pommel Ornament
--> Can drop from Desolate Malina, Easy Mode
--> Can be bought with Seals of Bravery(You get 1 for every non-easy raid). You get 2 for 1 Seal
25 Lavasat Front Claw
--> Can drop from Gates of Hell, Easy Mode
--> Can be bought with Seals of Bravery(You get 1 for every non-easy raid). You get 2 for 1 Seal
25 Cromm Cruaich Staff Fragment
--> Can drop from God of Death, Easy Mode
--> Can be bought with Seals of Bravery(You get 1 for every non-easy raid). You get 2 for 1 Seal
2 Golden Inquisitor's Brooch
--> Can drop from Desolate Malina 80-90
--> Can be bought with Seals of Bravery(You get 1 for every non-easy raid). You get 1 for 15 Seals
4 Hellguard Iron Fang
--> Can drop from Gates of hell 80-90
--> Can be bought with Seals of Bravery(You get 1 for every non-easy raid). You get 1 for 15 Seals
4 Legendary Druid Horn
--> Can drop from Burning Temple 80-90
--> Can be bought with Seals of Bravery(You get 1 for every non-easy raid). You get 1 for 15 Seals

**I recommend holding onto the Champion set until you are able to obtain a purple level 90 set. This can be done by trying to solo the raids or buying them from other players. It shouldn't be that expensive because many players have spare purple shards/feathers they don't need. **

Accesories  (Work in Progress)
Belts --> Misty Summit at Malina. The belts drop from the treasure chests that your find from doing the dungeon.
          Amethyst Belt - 120 Int 90 Wil 90 Agi
          Peridot Belt - 120 Str 90 Wil 90 Agi
          Emerald Belt - 95 Str  80 Wil 80 Agi
          Ruby Belt - 95 Int 80 Wil 80 Agi

Rings --> Crescent Moon Island and Ships Graveyard at Malina
          Crescent Moon Announcement - STR 130, INT 70, AGI 70, WILL 70, HP 100
          Ocean's Depth Monster - STR 70, INT 130, AGI 70, WILL 70, HP 100
Brooch + Necklace --> Kirstie in Colhen will sell them.

Earrings--> Yohaad
The boss drops an essence that you can use to craft level 85 earrings. The stats vary based on which one you craft. These earrings will give +1 crit

*** Seals ***
You can obtain seals from any raid type mission as long as it is not on easy mode.
The easiest way to get seals is to do:
10 Succubus
5 Muirs
5 Shakarrs
Once you get to real raiding, you can stop doing Shakarrs (unless you want to)

Level 90 and Beyond
This is the most important section.
After level 85, you no longer get free graces which means you will actually need to learn how to fight bosses and dodge their attacks.

Now that you have a decent weapon and decent armor you should attempt to do Season 2 and Season 3 Raids.

Good Season 2 Raids to do :
Lakoria  --> Solo NOT recommended
Kraken  --> Solo NOT recommended
Iset --> Can be Solod if you're good enough.

Season 2 Raids on 80-90 drop Rank 7 scrolls among other things(listed on the Official Server Guide)

Daily Boss Clears :

**HIGHLY RECOMMENDED**
Season 1 raids on the list are recommended on Easy Mode because they are fast unless stated otherwise

10x - Secret Naughty Chamber - Succubus -  Do this map on HERO, drops Enthusiastic ES which is important to all builds. Also drops a few other scrolls but Enthu is best.

5x - Rocheste by Sea - Muir - If you can't clear Hard, do it on Normal. Drops Paradise Enhancement Stones

10x - The Evil One - Lionotus - Do this map on **Easy** or higher, can drop Well-Balanced ES

10x - Fate and Destiny - Keaghan - Do this map on **Easy** or higher, can drop Well-Balanced ES

**HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BUT HARD**
Season 3 raids will give you your level 90 gear but it is difficult. You will need to learn the bosses very well before you can successfully solo them.

10x Regina

10x Lord Glas Ghaibleann

10x Yohaad (Echoaid)  - On the S3 board, drops an essence for level 85 acc.

These raids can be found on the side noticeboard in both Colhen and Rocheste. They drop shards that can be Blue Purple or Orange. Blue has the lowest stats and Orange has the highest. If you are able to complete these, your goal should be Orange, however, if you are unable to get the Oranges to drop, a Purple set is good enough.

**Do these if you want**

5x - The Fomorian Leader - Shining Shakarr - Doesn't drop anything good but gives easy Seals of Bravery. Not very recommended if you have other options.

10x - Frostborn Seal - Beokros - Drops Twinkling ES and Berserker ES

10x - Earthborn Seal - Siglint - Drops Leopard ES

10x - Timeless Rage - Elchulus - Drops Divine Punishment ES

Xx - Fruitful - Do this map on HERO, can be found in Rocheste, drops Valor ES (This is super good)

Xx - Rocktune's Cabin - Do this map on HERO. can be found in Rocheste, drops Master ES(Good Chest Enchant)

Xx - Two Moons - Drop Magic Powders, you need these to make elixirs to enchant.

Xx - Colhen in Flames - Drops Empowered Enhancement Stones

*If you're good at BO** - Colru - Almost everyone needs Colru nuclei but its hard to do unless you're a kai/vella. Can probably sell them to other players.

Season 3
**This content will be more difficult than the stuff before**

Season 3 refers to the missions on the notice board to the side of the main board in both Colhen and Rocheste. This is only accessible at level 90.
The key missions are :

Ben Chenner Entrance - This is a multi-boss map that drops Shards, Heavenly Leather, Godly Cloth and nodes that contain Godly Iron. You will need these materials to swap shards or feathers at Diananne. This map also drops skill awakening gems that you can use at Diananne.
**The map also drops 1.5m gold, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED**

Garden of Tears - Regina - A single raid boss map. Can be difficult, watch a video before attempting. Might be easier with a party. It is recommended that you do all of them everyday because of Orange drops and seals but if you can't its fine.

Temple of the Fallen Moon - Lord Glas Ghaibllean - A single raid boss map. This one is VERY difficult. HIGHLY recommended that you watch a video beforehand. The mechanic can 1 shot so if you do it wrong, you will die. Also recommended to do 10x everyday but also fine if you can't.

Pain and Despair - Yohaad - A single raid boss map. Kinda difficult purely because the boss has some BS target tracking. His mechanic is also easier to do with more than 1 person but can still be done solo. He drops an essence for levle 85 earrings.

The Season 3 raids will give you feathers that are the "base" of your level 90+ gear. Ben Chenner Entrance will give you the shards that will complete the gear piece. Each gear piece MUST have a feather and shards. A weapon requires Keen, Lightweight, Perfect and Stable. Armor could require either Solid or Smooth. If you have expertise, you can craft these items starting at expertise level 370. If you do not have expertise, you can craft them at Diananne at the Magician's Guild in Rocheste. If you do not craft it using expertise; it will cost you 350,000 gold. Diananne will also dismantle the shards and feathers you do not need.

These shards can be used to buy pouches which are basically a 5 for 1 deal. You dismantle 5 shards/feathers and buy a pouch. The pouch will contain a shard of random type and color. These pouches do have a higher purple and OJ rate.

Level 90 Gearing:
Once You're able to clear S3 raids with or without a party, you should have some feathers for each gear type (Weapon,Armor, etc.)

To craft using these feathers, visit the Magicians Guild in Rocheste and Talk to Diananne.
To craft, you will need a Feather and a Shard.
Feathers are from the S3 Raids
Shards are from Ben Chenner Entrance. This is a good map to farm if you want gold as well, it gives ~1.5m gold per run.

Your goal is to get your level 90 set to Orange. To do this all pieces of the equipment needs to be Orange.
For example :
To make an Orange Weapon, you need an Orange Feather, Orange Lightweight,Stable and Perfect Shard. All 4 pieces MUST be orange.

If your item is not orange but you have already upgraded it by enhancing or enchanting, you can talk to Diananne to swap parts. This means if your item has an Orange Feather and Purple Shard you can exchange the Purple Shard for an Orange Shard. In the end, you will get an Orange item because all of its pieces are now orange.

The new item will keep the enhancement and enchants.

** If you do not need the Purple or Blue shards, feel free to dismantle them by talking to Diananne **
** The fragments you get can be used to buy pouches from any seal shop merchant. These pouches give you another chance for orange tiered pieces**

Level 90 Enhancing:
You want to get your weapon as high as possible
Armor is fine at +5, +10, or higher.  Note: Armor higher than +10 now give attack speed.

Level 90 Enchanting:

For your weapon your enchants should prioritize crit, balance, attack speed and damage
Crit - Increases the chance of critical hitting
Balance - Decreases the variation of damage.
For example, if you have 60 bal (This is low) you might do between 300 and 800 per hit.
But, if you have 90 bal(Balance Cap), you might be closer to doing between 700-800 per hit.
Attack Speed
Damage - You want this for obvious reasons

For Armor, you should aim for:
**This is a benchmark for before you put on Rank 7 scrolls**
**This does not mean these scrolls are bad, they are only slightly behind R7s, these scrolls are enough to take you to endgame and beyond**

Helm: Well-Balanced Enthusiastic
