I was referring to a private 'version' of Windictus, that runs and is played separately to the server reliant game (i.e., using non-compatible save profiles), where cheating or whatever is up to the players participating and is isolated from others' gameplay experience.
Specifically, a game version that is playable into perpetuity; as distinct from one that is subject to the whims of servers/server costs and inevitable shut-downs. My whole pet peeve with Vindictus (lit., why I've always free-loaded), and putting the repugnant business practices of NexCON aside, has always been the impending closure of its servers (the Western ones, at least), and any inve$tments made into the game then being for naught.
If the game had a version that had LAN multiplayer (or P2P mutiplayer) compatibility, it would more incentivise time-investment -- as the game would work, in theory, for aye; and players' hard work would not be eventually erased from existence.
